Being Badu

I happen to be babysitting Badu the Shitzu tonight. So I thought I might share with everyone some of the many faces of Badu.

Meow Kitties! If you can't tell already this weeks obsession is STRIPES! They are a classic option for tops and dresses, but I'm looking to really explore them in unusual ways. The classic nautical style of navy blue and white really appeals to my thing for sailors, I am a gay kitty after all. But I want you all to take the "been there done that" out of how you think, try Tye-dye, lace or even angled stripes. Most people will tell you that they don't flatter most kittyliscious kurves. Well don't listen to them! Just make sure the stripes are always in a larger size, small stripes will trick the eye into an optical illusion of largeness. Having the pattern included on an accessory is also a purrfect way to have your stripes, and wear them too, without worrying if they flatter. Bold colors are in this session so think bold stripes of colors. I've included some Meowarvolus examples of some of my favorite kitty finds in NYC. The clothes are from Urban Outfitters, and the purse is my dream brand "Purrberry", or Burberry for all you non-kitty folks. I even was able to get Bailey to pose with the Tye-dye example, he's worried they'll make him look bloated. I reassured him I'd find the purrrfect stripe for him.

Going down to Chinatown...

Had a bit of a Chinatown adventure today with AD...Tried some cake biscuits (10 for $1),
bean paste balls, and red bean drink...All very exciting. Of course for lunch I wasn't as adventurous as I was with my desert choices, shrimp fried rice ahah.

One also can't go to Chinatown NYC without some shopping! Anyone interested in a Gold Piggy necklace or possibly a spaceship filled with gold animal figurines???

She is not currently producing the dresses for the masses, but who knows if we put the word out there she just might hear the demand. Fingers crossed.

Hey Kitties I'm baaaack...I bet you are all dying to know what I could be in love or as I like to purrr "obsessed with" this time more than tangerine? Well I'm totally meowing over Jennifer Aniston, and her new purrdy haircut! Of course everyone will think I only like her since my crazy mom named me after a "FRIENDS" character, but that has the least to do with it. She makes turning 40 look ameowzing! I'm seriously thinking about taking those 9 lives I've always been promised and timesing them by 5 just so I may have even the teeniest chance to reach her prowless. She has been known to rock the celebrity world by storm before with a haircut, of course just like me and my famous fur color (autumn clementine), and cuts in the kitty world. Though this time she really caught my attention, which usually lasts the length of feather and a string crossing my line of sight. Well there goes my attention span again...I see a catnip filled mouse with my name on it...Chandler Jr I like to meow it. I'll continue to spread my obsessed word about my fav non-feline Jen Aniston, and I'll see you kitties armeownd.

Your DONUT has been ADJUSTED...

Today I experienced two new things...I had my very first donut from Donut Plant (Lower East Side) which also has a brand spanking new location in Chelsea. Many of you may not have heard this, but Donuts are the new cupcakes around NYC and Donut Plant is the New Magnolia. I tried a Vanilla Bean, and a Pistachio kind. I have to admit they were a little "Doughy" and the Pistachio was much tastier. Alas they were no Krispy Kreme...

I also viewed the new Matt Dillon/Emily Blunt movie "The Adjustment Bureau" this evening. Let me tell you, it was definitely a Krispy Kreme in my book. A very funny film surprisingly, and a definite must see! A real original too, with all those remakes, and comic book movies being made left and right, there aren't many that are. So you must get your "Donut Adjusted", or at the very least your "Bureau Planted".

It's that time of year again...Girl Scout season!!!! I must admit I didn't have my order in on time, and I was getting very worried as I desperately need my Thin Mints once a year every year or else...Well I put the word out recently and to no avail. Don't worry all hope was not lost. I didn't realize that Mr. Ranger himself is a bonafide Girl Scout, he is just starting out at the brownie level, but he was kind enough to offer me a couple of spare boxes he had lying around today. Thank you Ranger-pants! You truly made my day!!!!!! Next year be sure to order your cookies from Mr. Ranger, he's saving up for a trip to "Turkey". (p.s. he doesn't need to know it's just a country, and not an actual turkey)

Well aren't we a lucky bunch tonight as glee had not 1, not 2, but 3 outfits that I happened to recognize. Face it people I shop way too much and you all get the benefits! Britney's first look is a jacket that is a great teal color with a fun bird pattern to funktify up any outfit. Britney's second look is a spin on the classic striped sailor shirt by adding some ruffles to the shoulder. Rachel's look is hard to notice at first but it's actually a lightweight cotton jean colored dress, and so you know I almost purchased this myself. All 3 can be found currently at your local H&M. Good thing this Swedish chain spread like wildfire this last year, so my peeps in Oregon get to enjoy this shopping chance too.

On tonight's episode a lovely lace top was worn by the character of Spencer, and guess who knows where to get it??? Yup me! It can be purchased at your local Urban Outfitters, the top also comes in white and I believe a pink tone color. It is completely see through, so be sure to wear a matching tank underneath, or if you want to get a little daring try a Hot pink or Tangerine to really make the top pop.

He was very polite about it and "Excuse Me". Maybe if I run into him one more time I'll ask to work on his next ground breaking documentary....

It's been a slow weekend so I've been taking the time to recover from my cold, which I believe is almost at it's end Yay! So I've decided to bring a little something back, where I post a picture of random things I spot while out on my doggy days in NYC, hence NY"See". This lovely portrait I happened to see en route to Squishy in the east village at E 1st street between Houston and E 2nd st painted on the side of the "Mars Bar". I'm a scary movie buff as some of you may know and one of my all time favorite people is Tim Curry. So what's better then my 2 loves combined!

Chandler just had to rub this in my face, but while we were catching up on our Oprah episodes this week...Chandler noticed that Oprah was wearing his color pick of the season. Hopefully his little kitty self doesn't get a big kitty head about this.

The Light was just...Right!

Napoleon a toy poodle I have the pleasure of walking in the lower east side, has a brother Winston, who comes to visit every so often. Naps and Winnie, as I like to refer to them, don't always get along or play well. They just respect the space and give all of their shared love of me, to me. Sometimes the light is just right during the day, that light happened this week, and the boys were willing to share that beautiful light with us.
